I’m a physicist currently working as researcher at the Optimization group of the Fraunhofer IIS in Nürnberg.
My current projects mostly deal with distribution networks (water, heat) and using methods from mathematical optimization like nonlinear mixed-integer programming. See here for a short website on the “aKtIv” project, where we try to develop methods for more efficient and resilient control of fresh water networks.
My previous research at the MPI-P in Mainz focused on developing new computational methods to better understand soft matter phenomena.
You can read my PhD thesis here and the two associated papers on VES with Wavelets (JCTC) and Birth-death augmented sampling (Phys Rev E) are published with open access.
